IBM's application development tools

IBM Developer's Toolkit for OS/2 2.0, and IBM WorkFrame/2 - are available at
the same time as OS/2 2.0. IBM C Set/2 follows one week later. These IBM
application development tools give you access to the powerful programming
interfaces in OS/2 2.0 and enable you to develop high performance 32-bit
applications that fully participate in the OS/2 Workplace Shell. You'll find
IBM OS/2 2.0 is a superior platform for all your development environments.

Microsoft began offering an OS/2 2.0 SDK for $2600 in December 1989. This
offering included pre-release versions of MS OS/2 2.0, MS tools and MS
language products followed by retail versions of each of the products in
their final form. When Microsoft discontinued their OS/2 2.0 SDK in October
1991, without delivering the retail versions, MS SDK developers had to
change their development environment. Many of these developers chose to
accept IBM's offer of a no-charge program of pre-release versions of IBM
 OS/2 2.0, IBM Developer's Toolkit for OS/2 2.0, IBM WorkFrame/2 and IBM C
Set/2. We've heard from several of these developers that they have
successfully changed environments and have great new 32-bit apps in the
 works.

Now that the retail versions of the IBM products are generally available,
for a limited time IBM will offer OS/2 2.0 and the IBM development tools -
 Developer's Toolkit, WorkFrame/2 and C Set/2 - to licensees of the Microsoft
OS/2 2.0 SDK for only $295, including shipping and handling. To participate
in this program, send the system installation diskette from the most recent
release (pre-release 3) of the MS OS/2 2.0 SDK to: IBM (Attn. M. Barovich -
Zip 1620) 1000 NW 51st St, Boca Raton FL 33432. You will be informed by
letter of your acceptance in this program. This offer ends June 30, 1992.
This offer is U.S. only; customers in other countries should ask their IBM
representative for information and developer assistance. In Europe, the IBM
contact for developer assistance is Albert Kleyn (44-256-56144); in Canada,
it is Ken Fadelle (416-946-3786); in Australia, call the Direct Market
 Centre at 008-028-211.

Licensees of the SDK who have already participated in IBM's pre-release code
program by submitting their MS OS/2 2.0 diskette will be notified of this
offer by letter at the close of the pre-release code program (March 31, 1991).

The OS/2 2.0 Technical Library is available on March 31 for $299. Each of the
17 books in the library can be purchased separately. An order form is in the
Toolkit. Or call 1-800-IBM-PCTB (IBM PC Technical Books) and inquire about:
