Duofone (430-0233) Installation Faxback Doc. # 7191

The only tool you need is a small screw driver.

Follow the heavy wire which leads from the phone to the phone cable
connector.

The connector may be covered by a box, open it and remove the connector.

The phone cable connector is made up of two interlocking parts. Remove
the two retaining screws and separate.

Mate the DUoFONE's connector between the two parts of the phone cable
connector and secure with the longer screws provided.

USING THE MULTI-LINE CONTROLLER

Controls:

1. The sequence of buttons on the CONTROLLER correspond to the line
buttons on the telephone. The CONTROLLER will access the same lines
as the phone (up to 5 lines).

Operation:

1. Press the control button on the CONTROLLER corresponding to the line
    you want to use.

2. Now you can use the single-line device (it will automatically light
the corresponding lamp on the phone).

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

1. Contact your local telephone company and inform them that you have FCC
Registered equipment to connect to their lines. Give them the make
    and model number.

    AAD 93V-62515-OT-N

2. Inform your local telephone company that the jack required for your
equipment is USOC RJ24 XC. After the telephone company has installed
the jack, you can connect the telephone equipment. If you already
have a phone cable connector, it is a USOC RJ 24 XC (and the phone
company need not make an installation call).

3. Rights of the telephone company. There is no reason why the equipment
should ever cause harm to the phone network. However, if it appears
that your unit or equipment is malfunctioning, it should be
disconnected until the source of the problem can be determined and
repair occurs. The telephone company can temporarily discontinue
your service. They shall promptly notify you and provide you with the
    opportunity to correct the problem.

If the telephone company ever makes changes to its communications
service, they shall officially notify you so that the operation of
your equipment will not be interrupted.
